The Atlas Lions returned for Day 2 of the Call of Duty World League in Fort Worth, TX. Their first opponent was Midnight Academy.

When the Lions arrived they had almost no time to prepare and fell behind 0-1 on Hardpoint.

The fought back to take Search and Destroy 6-5 after a clutch Grav Slam by Trance in a 1v2. They swept control and were on to round seven to face the Vodafone Giants.

The Lions held the lead during the middle to late part of the Hardpoint map, but got wiped off the point and could not regain control -- losing 248-250.

They seemed unphased and took a quick 3-0 lead on Search and Destroy. However, the Giants managed to even things 3-3 before going on to win 3-6 and ending the Lions run just outside the money and the top 16.

The Fort Worth event was this roster's first competition together, and there are certainly things to build on as we look forward to CWL London. The team was obviously gutted, but they have still managed to show support for the other Europeans teams still in the competition.

We're proud of the boys and look forward to seeing what Trance, Baldy, Hiiicksy, Bean Bag, and Divinity do next. Cheers to you boys.
