A week past the anniversary of RunGood's last visit, the tour returns this week, May 1-6, to Harrah's North Kansas City with prizes proudly supporting Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude is a 501(c)(3) that assembles and delivers custom care packages for U.S. service members. At every non-satellite final table this season, RunGoodGear will award limited edition RUNGOOD USA hats, each hat sends out a RunGood Care Kit to a U.S. Service Member sponsored by RunGoodGear and Harrah's NKC. Care kits will be gathered and hand delivered along with funds for shipping to join awaiting care packages going out at the end of the season.
The week-long poker party got off to a blazing start with the $135 RG Pro Bounty event, racking up 232 entries by close of registration--an amazing turnout for its first time in KC. In addition to the $25,630 prize pool, players could win additional prizes ranging from RG apparel to $1,000 cash by knocking out one of ten designated Pro Bounties. The bounties included a mix of RG Pros and local radio talent, including:
Half of the bounties dropped to the felt by the second break, with only two surviving beyond the money bubble. Brady Goodman finished 23rd for a min-cash of $277, while RG Ambassador Ben Reason reached the final table but went out 10th for $480.
Ten hats were awarded at the final table, sending out ten care kits to U.S. Service Members via Operation Gratitude!
With five left, the remaining players agreed to chop for $3,395 each, with the RG bracelet and winner's photo going to Bridgette Adkins (pictured).
