The RunGood Old West Main Event starts tonight with the first of three flights at 7:00 p.m. at the Horseshoe Bossier City. Money magazine named Bossier City the "Best Place to Live in Louisiana”, for reasons including its rich music and culinary festivals, but what they didn't mention is that it's the only place in the state to find a RunGood Poker Series Main Event.

The first-ever RunGood Main Event in Bossier City took place in March of this year, drawing a crowd of 392 total entrants over three starting flights. Craig Norals (pictured) climbed above them all to win the $43,057 first-place prize and the RunGood Cup.

We expect the competition will be no less fierce this time around. The $575 buy-in event features three starting flights, the first of which opens tonight at 7:00 p.m. All players start with 20,000 chips and must survive 12 30-minute levels to reach Sunday's Day 2. Late registration and unlimited re-entry are available until the start of Level 9 (11:30 pm). A full structure sheet can be found here.

The RGPS Old West theme comes with the addition of the big blind ante, guaranteed to give players more hands during their tournament experience. Aside from the cash and glory, the winner of this fall's Main Event also receives a brand new pair of custom cowboy boots from Boot Factory Outlet and a custom belt buckle by Montana Silversmiths.

The RG blog will be here from the first shuffle to the last to bring you updates throughout the event!
