Al Johnson plays poker about once a week and always tries to play the Thursday Run Good Poker Series tournament when its in town. He also likes to play the main event when he has time and he's in the field early in level two.

He retired from the Army in 2017 after 20 years as a linguist and his favorite place to be stationed was Korea. He's married with three daughters, the oldest of which is 25.

"It was all fun and games until they were twelve," he says.

Al lives with his family in Papillion, NE.

A friendly face at a Run Good event is not unusual, but Al stands out among the rest with a large frame and a smile to match.
