Michael Eakens (pictured) had an up-and-down end to Level 10 but is still alive to fight on toward the end of the night.

Eakens was on the losing end of an all-in when his ace-queen lost to Bill Sindelar's queens and sent most of his stack over as a result. The next hand, Eakens got it back in an unconventional manner.

The hijack opened to 6,000 and Phil Mader threw his last 11,000 in the middle on the button. Eakens followed suit for 17,000 in the big blind and the hijack called.

The hijack's K♣J♣ was more or less even with the 55♠ of Mader and the 3♣3♠ of Eakens. The J♠10♠8 flop surged the hijack into the lead. The 8♠ turn gave Eakens and Mader outs to a flush.

The 3 splashed the river and Eakens let out a wide smile as he took in the whole pot. The end result for Eakens is 45,000 while Sindelar is up to 70,000.
