RG Council Bluffs Main Event (Day 2): 12th Place - Henry Gingerich, Phil Mader Takes The Chip Lead

Level 23 (10,000/20,000/3,000)
Total RG Main Event Entries: 278
Players Remaining: 11
Average Stack: 506,000

Phil Mader is the new tournament chip leader only a single elimination from the final table.

Phil Mader was nearing the chip lead on dinner break and is now the first player to hit 1,300,000 as a result of his elimination of Henry Gingerich. Gingerich failed to gain any traction once play resumed and could not overcome Mader. Gingerich opened for 40,000 on the button and Mader called from the big blind.

Mader checked the A♣K♠9♠ flop and Gingerich bet 55,000. Mader then check-raised Gingerich all-in for 260,000 total and Gingerich found a call. It was a bad spot for Gingerich as he turned over J♠7♠ and he saw that his flush draw was covered by Mader's Q♠10♠.

The J♣ turn gave Mader a straight and Gingerich hit the rail bringing the field one elimination from the final table.
