Paul Cross was cruising along for the early stages of Day 2 but now must rebuild after taking a brutal beat against Richard Arndt (pictured) in a pot worth 300,000. 

Cross opened the button for a standard raise and Arndt defended the big blind. 

The the two players checked the 95♣2♠ flop and Arndt bet 15,000 on the 2 turn. Cross raised to 40,000 and Arndt shoved for about 140,000 total. Cross called with J♣2 for trips and Arndt 

Q5 had to have a diamond or a five to stay alive.

The K river brought the flush home for Arndt and he is the new chip leader. Cross falls to 80,000 and his work cut out for him to build once again.
