The chip leaders are well established at this stage but there are a few players who despite not being among the upper echelon of the leaderboard are above the chip average and more than capable of making a run.
Houston's Kevin Helper is primarily a cash game player but is proving his tournament chops so far on Day 2. Helper started the day with about 80,000 and is now playing almost double that. Helper has made a few final tables in his poker career but a win today would mark his first in a main event.
Speaking of winning tournaments, Mark Fink is plenty familiar with doing that. The South Dakota grinder has earned four World Series of Poker Circuit rings in his career, including two at The Horseshoe. Fink is playing close to 150,000 and is a favorite to make the money and beyond with his years of experience being put on display.
