RG DOWNSTREAM MAIN EVENT (DAY 2): Papa Karn Eliminated 12th ($2,345)

Level 20 (8,000/16,000/2,000)
Total Entrants: 293
Players Remaining: 11
Chip Average: 533,000

The perpetual fan favorite, Papa Karn (pictured), almost made it onto the boat but falls just shy as his short stack never doubled when he needed it to.

Papa Karn shoved for 125,000 under the gun with A8 and Sharon Livingston called on the button with A♣Q. The 76♣4 flop gave Papa Karn a straight draw but the 2 turn and A river never came home for him. Livingston is back on the upswing with 450,000.

At the other table, Jon Bennett got his lost chips back against Dan Lowery. Lowery opened under the gun and Bennett shoved for about 275,000 in the big blind. Lowery called with 8♣8 and Bennett had a flip with KQ. The K♠Q♠8 flop hit both players and Bennett had to fill up to stay alive.

He found one of those cards with K♣ turn and after the river bricked, Lowery shipped over the double. Lowery tumbles to 545,000 and Bennett is back over the chip average.
