The first flight of the RunGood Tulsa Main Event is officially in the books and about 20 players have bagged chips for Sunday's Day 2. Out in front is RunGood's Jamie Kerstetter, who bagged 303,500.
The majority of Kerstetter's chips came in a massive hand against Cherie Baber. The former chip leader opened under the gun for 8,000 for 8♣8♠ and Kerstetter defended her big blind with 2♣2♠ to see a 10♥3♥2♦ flop. Kerstetter checked and Baber bet 25,000. Having Baber barely covered, Kerstetter shoved for 135,000 and Baber called to put a pot worth nearly 300,000 up for grabs.
Kerstetter's set held and she will come into Day 2 with over 100 big blinds. Also bagging heaps from this flight are Jonathan Nguyen (294,500) and Jon Bennett (245,500).
