The RunGood Deep Stack event took place a few days ago as part of the week in Tulsa. A seat to the RunGood Cruise was awarded with John Heckencamp (pictured) taking down the victory along with over $10,000.
Heckencamp had a spectacular Day 1 in that event, bagging over 600,000. That total is equal to 40 starting stacks and put him in prime position to make the final table before eventually winning. Should Heckencamp have a day like that today, he will have bagged 800,000.
The record book isn't directly in front of us but that number would likely would be the highest ever for a RunGood Day 1. It would also put Heckencamp into the chip lead, a position he is obviously familiar with. The local liquor store owner finished 28th in the RG Spring Brawl Main Event at Tulsa and is looking to improve on that this weekend.
