RG TULSA MAIN EVENT (DAY 2): Byron Abernathy Joins The Leaders, Jesse Jones Approaches 500K

Level 16 (3,000/6,000/1,000)
Total Entrants: 345
Players Remaining: 32
Chip Average: 216,000

The chip leaders are separating themselves from the rest of the RunGood Main Event field in post-money bubble play. Bryon Abernathy (pictured) is among that group now after taking a chunk from Phillip Teel.

Picking up the action with the board reading K♠5♠2K, Abernathy checked out of the big blind and Teel bet 36,000 into a pot of about 50,000. Abernathy called and the 9 completed the board.

Teel fired for 65,000 and Abernathy called. Teel said ace-high and Abernathy turned over K3 to pick up the pot.

Abernathy is up to 420,000 and Teel trips to 260,000. A full look at the leaderboard is below.

Jesse Jones - 480,000
Dan Lowery - 470,000
Byron Abernathy - 420,000
Danny Griffith - 400,000
Raymond Speck - 360,000
Dan Martin - 355,000
