RG TULSA MAIN EVENT (Day 2): Gil George Goes Set-Over-Set To Hit 900,000

Level 15 (2,500/5,000/500)
Total RG Main Event Entries: 381
Players Remaining: 36
Chip Average: 212,000

Gil George is head and shoulders above the RG Tulsa Main Event field as he closes in on 1,000,000.

We didn't plan on seeing any players reach 1,000,000 until closer to the final table but Gil George is playing only 100,000 under that mark after sending Matthew Birmingham to the rail in a set-over-set confrontation.

Hayward Rigano opened from early position to 13,000 and George called from the hijack as did Birmingham out of the big blind. The K8♠3♠ flop was checked by Birmingham and Rigano continued for 19,000. George flatted and Birmingham raised to 55,000.

Rigano got out of the way and George raised enough to Birmingham all-in for his last 130,000. Birmingham called with 33 and was distraught to see George turn over 88. The one-outer did not come for Birmingham and George stacked up after the hand to 900,000 and is a few hundred thousand ahead of his nearest competitor.

The field is about ready to head out for the first break of the day and will return a few players from the three table redraw.
