RG Tunica Main Event (Day 1A): Southern Locals Attempting to Keep the Trophy Nearby

Level 7 (400/800/100)
Total RG Main Event Entries: 149

There is a lot of local flavor in the air this weekend in Tunica as most of the field is populated by folks from Memphis and the general surrounding area. As is such, many of them are wanting the opportunity to keep the RunGood title in the South.

Sam Brackstone is a well-respected player from the Memphis area and was featured as a RunGood Bounty on Tuesday. Brackstone primarily plays cash games inside the Horseshoe and is making a rare tournament appearance this weekend. Earlier this year, Brackstone won the Tunica $50,000 guaranteed event and has a chance to win his second title of the year during this weekend.

Connie Rice hails from Arkansas and is the proud owner of $105,000 in career tournament earnings. Rice claimed her first World Series of Poker Circuit ring in May 2016 just a month after winning a different event in Tunica. Rice is currently seated at the same table as Brackstone and is attempting to outlast her fellow bounty participant.
