RGPS OLD WEST COUNCIL BLUFFS: Ryan Phan returns to horseshoe after huge WSOP Main Event finish

Ryan Phan

Ryan Phan (pictured) is on heater and hoping that continues here in the $575 Main Event at the Horseshoe. Phan finished 11th this summer in the World Series of Poker Main Event for $725,000.

The Omaha native followed that up with a runner-up finish at the WSOP Circuit Main Event in Cherokee, N.C., for $182,990.

Phan has several nice finishes on the RGPS, including a fifth-place finish in the Main Event here in Council Bluffs in 2015 for $12,441. He also finished fifth in May 2016 in the Main Event here for $6,844.

With a nice track record at the Horseshoe, no doubt he'll be looking to break through with a win.
