McCabe, Chief Business Officer of Poker Central. “Our goal with this fund is to provide as much support as possible to those who have tirelessly supported when Las Vegas and the rest of the poker world was shining bright.”

Helping to shape the start of the initiative was VP of Media Hayley Hochstetler and President Tana Karn of RunGoodGear, “To the freelance media who are there when cards are in the air, counting chips on break, and typing up seating charts as last call is announced. The industry needs you to keep telling poker’s story when this is all over. This fund is to let you know we see you, and you won’t be left in the dark.”

“Giving back to those who cover our industry and keep poker thriving is essential in our eyes, which is why we are happy to provide the platform to this initiative” said David Lyons, GM of Global Poker, “Our hope is to use our poker room and our voice in the poker community to get players and fans interested in this series, and get donations to those who need it.”

In addition to the “Keep the Lights On” initiative, all proceeds from Poker Central’s limited edition “Keep The Lights On” hoodie in their PokerGO shop will be allocated to this fund. For more information regarding “Keep The Lights On,” please follow Poker Central and RunGood on social media.

Upcoming Event at Horseshoe Bossier City Suspended

Dear Players,

At RunGood our mission has always been to focus on player experience above all else. Discussions of extra cleaning procedures and steps to help protect our players have been the topic of many calls this past week. Being a small business tour operator, decisions we make are carefully calculated to ensure we maintain our founding principle. We will be joining the fight against the current epidemic by suspending the RunGood Poker Series at Horseshoe Bossier City March 31st – April 5th until a later date can be scheduled. We will be monitoring the situation closely for later tour dates this season.

On a personal note, I would like to stress the cancellation is not in fear but more to the fact of doing our part to come together as a nation to decrease the length of the threat we are facing. One poker family. Let’s protect it.

RGPS: HORSESHOE TUNICA CROWNS CHASE TURNER CASINO CHAMPION

Congratulations to Chase Turner for winning himself a Pro-Am qualifier seat in the tournament to be hosted by PokerGO this December!  Chase started Sunday 4th in points, with 21 points, after a second place finish in the Pro-Bounty and 19th place in the Deepstack. The Casino Champion point race was wide open, with the main event points holding greater value than previous tournaments and the Closer event drawing 141 entries to allow 25 points to the winner.  When Turner got knocked out in 5th place at the Main Event final table, it seemed that 36 points may not be enough, as William "Cody" Stanford could tie him in points by finishing 3rd and have the tie-breaker of most money won.  Fortunately for Turner, Stanford went on to win the main event and earned himself an automatic Pro-Am seat with the title.  This last minute twist of fate made Chase Turner the Casino Champion point winner.  Congratulations, Chase!  We know you will represent the Tunica Riverboat Rounders well!
